Today is the day that This Fiction, the debut album from Band in Box, sees the light of day and the dark of night. A celebration launch party with champagne, fireworks and a dozen white doves did not happen. We had a cup of tea and a snail race.

This Fiction, the debut album from Band in Box is released on June 9th, here, there and everywhere. To match its mind-enhancing music, the digipak has some mind-blowing brain-showing artwork, care of Kalle at Hijack Your Life. Siri went on a photoshoot to the Seychelles, where her head was planted in the seabed and miniature giraffe wandered her wild forest hair. Photoshop might have been a simpler solution.

We're streaming a new track on our album blog each week until the release. Four tracks in, track 5 is added on Wednesday. Stream the album sounds here.

The debut album from Band in Box is almost complete; mixed and in the can, keeping fresh, the tracks will be mastered in London this week. The album will be released in May on Stereo Test Kit Records. Band in Box will play live around and about Europa soon after.

The debut Band in Box release on Stereo Test Kit Records, a split 10" vinyl with Iceland's Parachutes, is released on February 25th. Pre-order a copy here.
